February Fiesta Kicks Off Rams Cycling Season!

FORT COLLINS, Colo. – Celebrate cycling with food and music at the 2nd annual February Fiesta on February 28 upstairs at the Rio Grande Restaurant in downtown Fort Collins to raise funds to support CSU Rams Cycling’s upcoming season with a silent auction.

“Getting the Fort Collins community together is the perfect way to kick off a great collegiate road season and support CSU cycling,” said Nick Truitt, president of Rams Cycling. “Rams Cycling depends on the support of the Northern Colorado community.”

The evening will kick off at 6 p.m. and all ticketed entries will receive a burrito buffet from Rio Grande Restaurant and access to a silent auction on dozens of goods, services and valuable cycling memorabilia.

“This is a great opportunity to bring the Fort Collins community to support and get to know the 4th place collegiate cycling team in the country ” said Andy Clark, Rams Cycling Director Sportif.

Last year’s fiesta was a success by raising more than $3000, and took both a road and mountain bike team to nationals in 2006. With the possibility of adding a road race to Rams Cycling’s race weekend in April, the team is looking to raise additional funds to cover road permits.

The upcoming season is looking intense and full of commitment from the team and community. Come shake off the chilly winter with a margarita and celebration of cycling.
